B.A., M.A. in Counselling Psychology, Registered CRPO (#9912)

Allan completed his master’s degree in counselling psychology at Yorkville University. He is registered with CRPO (#9912).  Allan is interested in the effects of trauma on interpersonal relationships, such as relationships with family members of people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He has helped clients with depression and anxiety disorders since 2017. After joining the Bear Psychology and Trauma Practice in April 2020, he has helped individuals with PTSD as well. Allan is also fluent in Farsi and has experience working with immigrants and refugees from Iran.

Allan has received training from the Bear Psychology and Trauma Practice on helping individuals with PTSD. Since joining the team, he has co-facilitated trauma therapy groups and has helped clients with trauma history and PTSD in individual sessions. He offers skills and strategies to assist his clients to understand their difficulties, cope with stress and anxiety, process emotions and memories related to their traumatic experiences, and return to their normal routines. The goal is to enable people to live a safe and stable life. He integrates various forms of therapy in order to provide personalized treatment that is tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. His main focuses in therapy are to help clients cope with distressing thoughts and emotions, develop more adaptive coping strategies, and form fulfilling relationships with others.
