CASSANDRA WYERS
B.SC. M.A. STUDENT
Cassandra is currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology at York University, under the supervision of Dr. Robert T. Muller. Prior to her masters, she completed a graduate certificate in addictions and mental health counselling and trained in various community and private settings. Her clinical and research interests focus on understanding effective trauma therapy, from both an individual and group perspective. She is one of the lead student investigators on our current research study with York University, which aims to understand the effectiveness of the Trauma Practice model.
For the past 5 years, Cassandra has worked in several mental health areas, including intakes, psychoeducational groups, and one-on-one work. She has worked with children, adults, and families. She aims to create a safe and supportive environment following the Trauma Practice model. Cassandra is currently one of our support group co-facilitators and conducts assessment at our clinic under the supervision of Dr. Anna Baranowsky.
Ms. Wyers is a Ph.D. student in clinical psychology at York University. When she provides services at Bear Psychology or Trauma Practice, it is while under supervised practice with Dr. Anna Baranowsky, Ph.D., C.Psych and Anna Kozina, M.A., C.Psych.
