MARK LEROY

MSW, RSW, Psychotherapist

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, Clinical Traumatologist, and Registered Yoga Teacher.

Guided by attunement and with awe of the human condition, Mark believes that healing begins with acknowledgment and that, as witnesses, the relationship is more important than the
therapy itself. Held unconditionally, the unimagined, unthought, and unspoken are honoured as they accompany a human story no longer lost in time or veiled by shame but voiced by aesthetic compassion and grace.

As a current PhD student, Mark is immersed in creative research exploring how fictive memoir—specifically coming-of-age stories of childhood into initiated personhood—may help free the grasp of intergenerational trauma while reaffirming intuition and fostering a place for both grief and love.
